Lambert Anderson, the founder of the McPherson Concrete companies, built and sold his first farm silo in 1911 when McPherson Concrete Products was incorporated as one of the early businesses in McPherson, Kansas.  Over the next 60+ years, McPherson Concrete Products, with its distinctive "Diamond Top" signature, erected thousands of farm silos throughout Kansas and the surrounding states.

In 1977, the Anderson family, owners from the company's outset until the present, decided to form McPherson Concrete Storage Systems, Inc. (MCSS, Inc.) and to dedicate the efforts of this new entity to the commercial grain storage construction business.

During the past 30 years. MCSS, Inc. has become the predominant concrete grain storage construction company in the Midwest and Plains states.  With our extensive inventory of jump-form construction sets ranging in diameters from 20' up to 90', we have built over 600 grain, and industrial storage structures throughout our trade area, representing practically all the new concrete construction since our inception in 1977.

Consistency, quality control and the ability to bring the necessary resources to complete our projects in a timely manner are the hallmarks of MCSS, Inc.  These results are in no small part due to continuity in management and ownership.  Roy House, a 42 year employee of McPherson Concrete, has been the MCSS, Inc. Sales Manager since the company was formed.  Robbin Kratzer, with more than 45 years experience in silo construction, has been the MCSS, Inc. Construction Manager since 1977.  The company blessed with a core group of experienced crew leaders, builders and quality control personnel whose products are unsurpassed anywhere in the United States.

Finally, MCSS, Inc. enjoys the financial backing of the McPherson Concrete Companies and affiliates, and has never relied upon, indeed never used, any kind of external bank or equipment financing.  The owners, management and staff of McPherson Concrete Storage Systems Inc. take great pride in the comppany's record of high quality performance and success and we expect to continue to be the #1 grain storage contractor in this area for many years to com.
